We have an exciting opportunity to join our event catering team for Melbourne Cup Carinval 2024.  The role is based onsite at Flemington Racecourse (Melbourne), working casual shifts.  You will need to be available to work on the Melbourne Cup Carnival race days between 3 - 10 November 2024 (including weekends and Public Holiday)

As part of our kitchen team your duties will include:

• Performing general cooking duties aligned to current menus.
• Organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and kitchen.
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and following SOPs.

To succeed in this role we are looking for applicants who are able to demonstrate:

Essential

• Completion of an apprenticeship or passed the appropriate trade test and experience in cooking.
• Food Safety Handling and understanding safe food handling. 
• A team player, with ability to adapt and change in a growing business environment, and support others to achieve individual and business targets.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding and knowledge of safe working processes and practices.
