Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Consultant

$65-70k salary + 7.5% bonus + super

This newly created role will be based at our head office in the heart of South Yarra, perfectly situated in close proximity to public transport, cafes, restaurants and shops. You will be working as part of a dynamic and forward thinking team, reporting to the ESG & Compliance Manager.

As the ESG Consultant at Cirka, some of your key responsibilities will include:

·  Engage with Cirka clients to understand their ESG requirements presently and in future.

·  Develop detailed, analytical plans and strategies for clients to meet their ESG targets with the inclusion of various metrics to assess performance.

·  Ensure regular updates, presentations and reports are delivered for clients and internal Cirka stakeholders on the progress of ESG plans, strategies and initiatives.

·  Ensuring Cirka’s ESG strategy, monitoring, reporting, and disclosure obligations are aligned to best practise corporate governance principles and support the overall business strategy.

·  Support the development of the Cirka Sustainability Report, working in collaboration with ESG & Compliance Manager and leaders in the business. 

·  Research and implement innovative solutions to drive portfolio sustainability along with improved efficiencies and reduction of Cirka’s environmental impact.

·  Build and maintain comprehensive library of sustainability initiatives and programs across the business, identifying relevant emerging trends, legal frameworks, industry benchmarks, and issues in the sustainability and community sector.

·  Act as internal leader and subject matter expert through the provision of advice and guidance to managers and employees. 

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate that you possess:

·       Tertiary qualification within related discipline - Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Community Engagement or similar.

 

·       Knowledge of international sustainability and assurance guidelines and standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

·       Strong ability to engage with clients and develop meaningful relationships to aid in business development.

·       Skilled at project management with the ability to work to deadlines, address conflicting priorities to ensure outcomes are delivered.

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a skilled trainer and presenter.

·       Sound commercial awareness and analytical skills, with the ability to complete research in collaboration with other internal and external parties. 

·       A strong passion for sustainability and ESG issues.

The following attributes would be considered advantageous:

Experience using data analysis and presentation tools such as Power BI.

Exposure to working within the service industry, such as Cleaning, Facilities Management, Security, Hospitality etc.
