We are currently seeking a hardworking, reliable and friendly Site Supervisor with strong communication and leadership skills to join our team at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club (489 Glenferrie Rd, Kooyong VIC 3144), one of Melbourne’s premium sporting and events venues.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced cleaning supervisor to take ownership of a prestigious site, work closely with the client and lead a dedicated cleaning team in maintaining high standards across a busy and dynamic venue.

The position

• Full Time Site Supervisor
• Monday to Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM (38 hours per week)

As a member of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, presentation and safety of the venue, while coordinating the cleaning team and ensuring the site is event-ready throughout the day.

Requirements

You will need to provide proof of the below compliance documentation as part of the recruitment process:

• A valid Police Check
• Full time working rights
• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor, Team Leader or similar role

As the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the cleaning team, coordinating daily operations, maintaining high presentation standards and being a key point of contact for the client.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Supervise, support and coordinate the cleaning team.
• Allocate daily tasks and follow up on incomplete work.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain high cleaning standards.
• Ensure the venue is clean, safe and presentation-ready throughout the day.
• Coordinate cleaning requirements around events and changing site priorities.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, presentation and performance.
• Provide training, coaching and guidance to cleaners.
• Communicate professionally with the client, management and venue stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to client requests, complaints and operational issues.
• Monitor cleaning equipment, chemicals, consumables and cleaning rooms.
• Report incidents, hazards, damage, maintenance and equipment issues.
• Assist with staff coverage, rostering and operational requirements.
• Complete required checklists, inspections, reports and administrative tasks.
• Monitor SafetyCulture and company emails and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Maintain clear communication and handover with the night team.
• Assist with periodic cleaning and additional works as required.

Essential experience in:

• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor, Team Leader or similar role.
• Experience leading a team of cleaners, preferably in a commercial, hospitality, sporting or events environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Reliable, organised and a strong team player.
• Able to manage staff performance and attendance issues.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
• Proactive and solution-focused approach.
• Able to work independently and make decisions.
• Professional and respectful when dealing with clients and stakeholders.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Good understanding of WHS and safe cleaning practices.
